ABOUT BOBBY MICHAELS
Born and raised in Northern California, Robert Michael Wind, was such a shy young songwriter, he composed and performed under the stage name of Bobby Michaels.
"To this day...all of my songs are written under my alias...and I sometimes feel I take on a different personality when I perform. I wrote my first song at seventeen and even though I am more confident with my originals...I still use my stage name to this day."
Many of Bobby's songs are recreations of his dreams where he claims to hear the music while he sleeps.
"I use to keep a paper pad by my bed...now I use my iPad exclusively.
Bobby plays Taylor, Takamine, and Ovation Guitars...an Ovation Mandolin...along with his Kala Tenor Ukulele.
"I love performing at various open mics like Java Joes, Lestats, Brick 15 or Bugsy's. There are so many places to showcase yourself. I like Rock, Folk, R&B, and Country....anything with a great melody and lyrics. Open mics are great venues to test your originals in front of a live audience."
The Coyote Music Festival and their Winter Wonder Jam are two of my favorite songwriter showcases.
